How have you been touched by breast cancer?

I found my lump when I was 38 during self exam. Shortly after, on 1/28/2016, I  was diagnosed with breast cancer. During the workup they found that I have 2 genetic mutations, BRCA1 and CHEK2. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction 3/23/16, and started tamoxifen shortly after. Then fast forward to 2/8/18, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer due to a metastasis on my liver. After 6 months of chemo, my petscan showed no evidence of disease! I take Ibrance and Letrozole and remain in remission!! Booyah!!

What is one fun fact about you?

I have a silent laugh and my face will turn red.

How did you find CREW309?

Dr. Glyn Jones suggested it to me during an annual follow up visit

What does CREW309 mean to you?

Survivorship, sisterhood, friendship, and a great workout. It’s a TRUE blessing.
